Pickup

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Pickup, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What Pickup provides

Pickup is a platform that enables customers to place orders with local shops and restaurants for pickup at a scheduled time. Pickup is not a party to the transaction between customer and merchant.

3. Payments

Pickup does not process, hold, or settle payments. All payments are made directly between the customer and the merchant. Each merchant determines which payment methods they accept (UPI, bank transfer, or pay at collection). Merchants are solely responsible for confirming manual payments and issuing refunds.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual merchants. Pickup does not guarantee refunds or mediate payment disputes. If you need a refund for a completed or pending order, please contact the merchant directly or reach out to us for assistance.

5. Reliability and no-shows

When a customer confirms pickup and fails to collect their order, the merchant may report a no-show. Confirmed no-shows are tracked as follows:

  • First confirmed default: Your account is flagged, but you retain normal payment eligibility.
  • Two confirmed defaults: Your account is restricted to online payment methods only (prepayment required).
  • Admin review: An administrator can review and reverse confirmed defaults if appropriate.

Merchants cannot independently impose permanent account restrictions. All restrictions are managed through the platform's reliability system.

6. Merchant responsibilities

Merchants using Pickup are responsible for:

  • Fulfilling orders accurately and on time.
  • Confirming manual payments (UPI, bank transfer).
  • Setting and honoring their pickup schedules.
  • Complying with applicable laws regarding food safety, refunds, and consumer protection.

7. Limitation of liability

Pickup is a platform facilitator. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items offered by merchants, the accuracy of merchant listings, or the ability of merchants to complete transactions.
